Japanese messenger Line has informed about its plans to develop blockchain for acceleration of development of decentralized applications on its platform. The project is included in the company road map for technologies development in 2018.
As it follows from the words of Awyin Pak, CTO Line , they are going to use the existing results in order to progress in launching of the main blockchain net. As Pak said, the platform will be created on the basis of the current products of Line. It will use tokens economy for stimulating the decentralized applications development
According to her words, in connection with it the company is going to hire a large number of blockchain developers in Japan and South Korea, and also in other countries of South-East Asia.
Recently Line launched the subsidiary blockchain company Unblock for scientific and technical developments in blockchain sphere and integration of the decentralized applications in messenger in order to expand its functionality.
