Irish University asks government to promote blockchain

The research carried out by Irish University appeals the government of this country to promote the blockchain technology in Ireland.

The authors of research from NUI Galwa - National University of Ireland asked government to take measures in order to promote innovative technology. The information is given by The Irish Times. The research gives recommendations on increasing awareness and implementing blockchain. As it is informed, they can positively impact economical growth and create basement for new kinds of business management.

The research was carried out by NUI Galway in a partnership with Irish Blockchain Association. It considers factors which influence Irish companies in their decisions about accepting of blockchain technologies.  The major results demonstrate that only 40% of enterprises in Ireland  use this technology. According to researchers opinion, this indicator is rather low. The main factors which impact blockchain implementation are the following: the support of CEO, organizational readiness, legal uncertainty and absence of business-cases and internal expertise.
