Cryptocurrency conference in Berlin

The largest crypto conference was held in Berlin with biggest turnout so far.

The BlockShow Europe 2018 conference ended yesterday, May 29. Speakers, such as former Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and BTCC co-founder Bobby Lee made an appearance.

As noted by Bobby Lee “conferences are important, because they help to spread the word to the public and educate people on the subject. This is the way we attract the next billion people on-board.

This year the event was five times bigger than in 2017. In total, 3000 people attended the conference, including 93 companies that presented their blockchain products, as well as sponsors.

The competitions among blockchain start-up were carried out there. Asset distribution network Shelf.network won the prize of 50,000 EUR after being chosen by the jury, consisting of five industry experts.

The conference included the results of its blockchain industry leaders poll, where users of the BlockShow app globally could vote on the top woman and top EU business in blockchain. Dr Quy Vo-Reinhard, Chief Data Officer and co-founder of the HIT Foundation was selected by 2000 voters as the most influential woman in the blockchain space, and blockchain tech firm Bitfury selected as the most game-changing company.
