According to CoinDesk, blockchain technology helps to address addressing such matters as support of tuna stocks, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and development of solar power projects.

Smart contracts could be used to support government arrangements that give necessaryresource rights to the persons concerned.

The research specifies six areas that blockchain technology could positively impact: climate change, oceans, clean air, etc. According to the report, these new opportunities are ignored by investors, businessmen and official authorities.
