Bitmain opens a service center in Russia

The Chinese manufacturer of ASIC-miners, Bitmain, decided to open a service center in Russian Irkutsk.

Bitmain, one of the largest manufacturer of equipment for bitcoin mining, has opened a service center in Russia. It is located in one of the largest Siberian city, Irkutsk. The facility will repair ASIC-miners, as well as make a warranty replacement. Previously, Bitmain's service centers were based only in Hong Kong and California.

This is good news for Russian miners, because previously, the broken equipment had to be sent to China, which was a time-consuming and costly task.

The Chinese company also controls some of the biggest mining facilities in the world. According to recently published data on news.Bitcoin.com, it has made between $3 and $4 billion last year from mining cryptocurrency and selling equipment to other miners.

Previously, Bitmain was based in China, but because of Chenese regulatory risks, like limitation of power consumption, it was forced to relocate the business.

According to sources, Bitmain is opening a regional headquarter in Singapore and has a branch in Switzerland.
