Pavel Durov company Telegram Group Inc. has got enough funds to launch its own cryptocurrency. Thus, it is not going to organize bulk selling of its “coins”. As WSJ source informed, about 200 private investors invested 1,7 bln. dollars within two closed rounds of  initial cryptocurrency offering (ICO). This sum is enough for development of new activity direction, new for Telegram Group Inc. Among investors there are founder of Qiwi Sergey Solonin and founder of Wimm Bill Dann.

Pavel Durov planned to found his own blockchain platform Telegram Open Network (TON) and cryptocurrency Gram since last year. The TON developer is Nicolay Durov, brother of Pavel Durov. He is known as one of the most talented IT-developers. At the moment he is technical director of Telegram. The new payment system based on TON will likely be implemented in Telegram messenger. But Telegram Group Inc. has not commented this information yet.
