Nasdaq is possible to become a cryptocurrency platform one day. Adena Fridman, the CEO of Nasdaq, declared about it in her interview to CNBC.
Adena Fridman made such a declaration on Wednesday, April, 25, answering the question about position of Nasdaq board and her own concerning cryptocurrencies. As it follows from her words, if Nasdaq board sees that people are ready for a more regulated market and fair conditions for investors, the exchange will undoubtedly consider the possibility of becoming a crypto-exchange.
Adena Fridman herself definitely believes in digital currencies future. Bitcoin exchange Gemini has already used the technology of Nasdaq for tracing market panipulations. Now Nasdaq does not participate in cryptocurrency system because of lack of regularity in this sphere. But according to Fridman, it is just a question of time.
Nasdaq stock exchange is the second largest stock exchange in the world. Its capitalization is $ 9 trillion.
