The Department of Economic Development (DED) of United Arab Emirates has developed blockchain registry. This registry is oriented for commerce and business.
DED together with DSOA (Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority). initiative group Smart Dubai and IBM corporation developed commercial blockchain registry for business activities As official press release informed, a new platform named Dubai Blockchain Business Registry is created in order to simplify the process of registration and work of Dubai companies. Besides, it will help companies to get direct foreign investments. According to DED official message, the initiative will make the process of establishment and work of commercial enterprises more simple, launch digital exchange of trading licences and provide compliance with regulations and rules in the whole business ecosystem of Dubai.
Dubai Blockchain Business Registry will be implemented in the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, which is the integrated free zone technology park. The registry development is a part of Blockchain strategy of Dubai which was launched in 2016.
